Having an artistic eye as well as trained design skills has led me to create media for on-air, digital, and print across my career. Below are just a few examples.
When designing for CBS, I followed strict guidelines to tie everything back to our original brand vision. Because I was designing for multiple different media, the visuals had to translate on every platform. These designs were often clean cut but still eye-catching, using the CBS signature colors to promote cohesiveness where possible.
With my designs for TV Guide, my concept circled around being cohesive, but with a little hint of cheeky maximalism. Our demographic spanned a wide range, so I always wanted our audience to feel as though we were up to speed with the times… too young and bright would dissuade our older viewers… too stiff and professional could dissuade our younger demo. Finding the right medium between what we wanted to achieve and our market was challenging but incredibly rewarding once we hit our stride.
